This article reviews the literature published in a reputable database and emphasizes the importance of logistics management in efficiently delivering goods or services. Examining the scientific evidence on logistics management and its association with service quality, in general, is the primary purpose of this review study. Only publications published between 2018 and 2022 in journals with a high impact factor are selected as samples for this study. According to the analysis, neglecting logistics management by Peruvian companies can result in issues such as insufficient supply, poor quality, delayed delivery, expensive prices, and terrible customer service. Logistics management is acquiring, storing, and distributing goods or services to satisfy client demands. Using a qualitative methodology, the databases Scopus, Redalyc, and Scielo were combed for relevant articles. 17 research publications were selected for analysis from Scopus, Redalyc, and Scielo databases. The findings suggest that excellent logistics management can offer firms a competitive advantage in providing exceptional customer service. The report proposes prioritizing the adoption of logistics systems in political agendas and including continuous capacity development and process evaluation in the planning, design, and execution of logistics operations. These strategies can ensure that micro and small businesses in Peru produce high-quality goods and services that exceed client requirements and expectations.
